Lost Prophets - Liberation Transmission Music Review
By RipperEagle
Rating: 4.3

Welsh born Lost Prophets try to pull out all the stops on their third album for Sony/BMG records. Released in 2006, “Liberation Transmission” had to live up to their 2004 sophomore release, “Start Something” which featured the radio mega hits “Last Train Home” and “Summer”. Could the band manage that feat? And yes, their songs can be taken as Emo (as will their appearance) but I don’t care because it’s usually good shit with them, and this is no exception.

1. Everyday Combat (5)
-Song starts off and ends weird, great in between.
2. A Town Called Hypocrisy (4)
-One of the singles off this album with a silly video to boot.
3. The New Transmission (4)
-Two issues: first, at the beginning, Ian Watkins sounds like Billy Joe Armstrong, and second, he lied to all of us when he did the “Whoa” bit!
4. Rooftops “A Liberation Transmission” (5)
-Best known for the song played with Jeff Hardy’s desire video: stands on its own.
5. Can’t Stop, Gotta Date With Hate (4)
-Interesting song about a twisted girl name “Andy.”
6. Can’t Catch Tomorrow “Good Shoes Won’t Save You This Time” (4)
-Fun little lead in and a well structured song.
7. Everybody’s Screaming!!! (5)
-Overall deserving of the 5, oh, and the THREE exclamation points, HA!
8. Broken Hearts, Torn Up Letters and the Story of a Lonely Girl (4)
-Perfectly interchangeable with song number five, except they give no girl’s name.
9. 4:00 AM Forever (5)
-VERY well built ballad, perhaps one of the best I ever heard from ANYONE.
10. For All These Times Son, For All These Times (4)
-Definitely more of a generic good time song then the past two were.
11. Heaven for the Weather, Hell for the Company (4)
-Nice little song, to me has the funniest title on the album.
12. Always All Ways “Apologies, Glances and Messed Up Chances” (4)
-Predominately a slower song to end on, but builds up late in the song.

Yea that Rooftops song is bad ass and playing it to Jeff's highlights makes it more awesome....I'd like to check out some of their other stuff...

This one is underrated to me. I had it for a while and didn't listen to it. Then I couldn't stop listening to it for days.
